Gelebration of the life of Gail Philips
To All Friends of Sapelo Members:
There will be a celebration of the life of Gail Philips at the Fish Dock restaurant in Crescent on Saturday, June 27th, between 2 and 4 pm. Gail was our treasurer for many years, a special member of our organization, and a special individual. Members who knew Gail are encouraged to stop by and share memories.
Also, we are discussing plans for a plaque for Gail's memory, with location and type to be decided. We're open to ideas, so please send us any suggestions you have.

Lighthouse Work Day
Be a part of history. Volunteers will be helping with maintenance and cleaning of the historic Sapelo Island Lighthouse (built and first lit in 1820) and the adjacent trail. Visitors should be able to walk at least a quarter mile and use basic hand tools for landscaping. Please bring gloves if you have them. Please bring snacks, sun protection, a refillable water bottle, and bug spray.
