Lighthouse Work Day: Monday October 8, 2025 8:30 am - 12:30 pm  

Be a part of history. Volunteers will be helping with maintenance and cleaning of the historic Sapelo Island Lighthouse (built and first lit in 1820) and adjacent trail. Visitors should be able to walk at least a quarter mile and use basic hand tools for landscaping. Please bring gloves if you have them. Please bring snacks, sun protection, a refillable water bottle and bug spray.
